The short version
- GO School is a private app for Gospel Outreach Olympia. You need an invitation from the school office to use it.
- We collect only what the school already needs to run the school day: schedules, homework, attendance, grades, and messages between staff and parents.
- We do not sell information, show advertising, or use tracking or analytics software.
- Student information comes from the school office, not from students.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
Who we are
GO School is operated by Gospel Outreach Olympia for the families and staff of our school. This policy covers the GO School iPhone and iPad app and this website.
This app is not open to the public. Accounts are created only for staff and for parents and guardians of enrolled students, by invitation from the school office.
What we collect

How we use it
We use this information to run the app and nothing else: to show you the right schedule, deliver homework and announcements, record attendance and grades, carry messages between staff and parents, and notify you when something needs your attention.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent information to anyone.
- We do not show advertising or share information with advertisers.
- We do not use analytics, tracking, or behavioral profiling software.
- We do not use student information for any purpose other than running the school.
Children's information
GO School is designed for adults: school staff, parents, and guardians. Accounts are issued by the school office.
Information about a student is entered by the school from its own enrollment records. We do not collect information directly from children, and we do not ask children to create accounts or provide personal details.
A parent or guardian can ask the school office at any time to review, correct, or remove their child's information. Requests are handled by the school directly.
Who can see what
Access follows the person's role at the school, and the app enforces this on the server, not just on screen:
- Parents and guardians see their own children: their schedule, homework, grades, and messages with staff.
- Teachers see the classes they teach and the students in them.
- The principal sees school-wide information and reviews announcements and notes before they reach families.
- Front desk staff see only the daily copy and printing queue.
Content, reporting, and blocking
Staff can post announcements, homework, and notes to families. Objectionable, abusive, or unsafe content is not permitted.
- Any message or conversation can be reported from inside the app.
- Any user can be blocked from inside the app.
- Reports go to the principal, who reviews and acts on them.
- Notes from teachers to families are reviewed by the principal before delivery.
Where information is stored
GO School runs on Google Firebase, which provides sign-in, the database, file storage, and push notifications on our behalf. Information is stored on Google's servers in the United States and is subject to Google's security practices.
When you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider confirms your identity and gives us your name and email address. We do not receive your password.
We do not use any other third-party services, and we do not include advertising or analytics software of any kind.
How long we keep it
School records such as schedules, attendance, grades, and homework are kept as part of the school's own records for as long as the school needs them.
If you delete your account, your sign-in and personal profile are removed from the app. School records that the school is required to keep, such as a student's attendance and grades, remain with the school.
Your choices
- Delete your account. Open the app, go to Profile, and choose Delete Account. This removes your sign-in and profile from the app.
- Turn off notifications. Use the iOS Settings app to turn off notifications for GO School at any time.
- Correct your information. Contact the school office to update your details or your child's records.
Security
Sign-in is handled by Apple or Google. Information travels over encrypted connections, and access rules are enforced on the server so that people can reach only the records their role allows. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you believe an account has been misused.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify families through the app.
